Bring the client in without giving anything away

Clients want to know where they stand. What they must not see is your cost report, your risk register and what you are holding from subcontractors.

Guests are free, on every plan

Software that charges per user teaches you to keep people out of it. So the client emails for an update, you export, redact, format and attach, every month, on every job.

QScope charges for surveyors in your practice and nothing else. Invite as many clients, subcontractors, architects and site managers as the job needs.

  • No account and no licence for the guest, just a link
  • Choose per guest whether they can view, comment or edit
  • Commercially sensitive sections hidden from guests by default
  • Revoke any link at any time, and the revocation is recorded

Your own surveyors, each with their own login

A shared practice password makes every entry in the audit trail say the same thing, which is the same as recording nothing at all.

Invite each surveyor by email. They set their own password on a one-time link that expires after 72 hours, and from then on the record shows who actually prepared each certificate.

  • Invitation by email, password set by the person themselves
  • Seats used shown against your plan before you invite someone
  • Two people opening the same project is detected, not silently overwritten
  • Activity feed shows what a colleague changed since you last looked

Questions

What surveyors ask before they start

Do clients need to buy a licence?

No. Clients, subcontractors and anyone else on the project are guests. They open a link, see what you allowed, and never count towards your plan. This is deliberate: software that charges per user teaches people to keep the client out of it.

Can a client see my subcontractor valuations?

No. The whole subcontractor side, the cost report and the risk register are hidden from client guest links. What you hold from a subcontractor is your commercial position, not theirs.

What if I invite the wrong person?

Revoke the link. Access stops immediately and the revocation is recorded in the audit trail, so you can show when it happened.

What happens if two surveyors edit the same project at once?

QScope detects it and warns the second person rather than letting one silently overwrite the other. Losing an afternoon of valuation because a colleague had the job open is not an acceptable failure mode.
